1. ASSIGNMENT: to create a breakthrough way to promote director Matthew Bowie’s reel to advertising agencies, art directors and art buyers that is memorable and breaks thru the groups of submissions usually associated with pitching a project.
2. SOLUTION: instead of joining the usual method of submitting a reel or a link to a website, we submit a themed promotional item couched around a story of a spot recently created my Matthew that describes the complete experience of being a director and showcasing the personality, knowledge, understanding, and expertise of directing and shooting a piece of film. And it all starts with a visual-less and poetic story describing the specific footage it relates to, and about to be seen, encouraging the “theatre of the mind”. The first one is titled “The Horse”, and all pieces are signed with... “If you can't see it, I can shoot it".
